Glendale runs on two engines. On the west side there's Westgate and State Farm Stadium, where the Valley goes for football, concerts and everything that fills a parking lot. On the other side there's a historic downtown full of antique shops, brick storefronts and the Cerreta candy factory, which has been running tours for decades. Not many cities hold both ends of that range as comfortably.
